Summary:

72 HOURS MINIMUM ADVANCE BOOKING REQUIRED. Tour does NOT include hotel pick-up; departure is from a convenient central location in Edinburgh, to be specified on your E-Ticket. Rates are per person in US Dollars. Child rate applies to ages 5 to 16. Minimum age to take this tour is 5. Please reserve online, or call us toll-free at 800-750-2630. There is a $3.95 processing fee per order. This is a flat fee regardless of the number of tickets or tours purchased on an order.
There is a service charge per ticket. This charge will be reflected on your summary before you checkout. The total shown includes any and all taxes, fuel surcharges, and service fees. There are no additional charges.

Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.

Tour Itinerary

Leaving Edinburgh you'll travel via Stirling, enjoying a brief glimpse of the impressive Stirling Castle, perched high on its volcanic rock. After a coffee stop at Kilmahog or Callander you'll continue your climb into the Western Highlands via Tyndrum, which was a key location for the expansion of the railway network in Scotland.

Moving further west, you'll pass Dalmally village, where the river Orchy flows into Loch Awe then you'll make a stop for lunch in the pretty fishing town of Oban, with its horseshoe bay and MacCaig's Folly.

After lunch you'll move south and pause to admire the spectacular Kilchurn Castle, majestically situated on Loch Awe and spectacularly framed by mountains.

Your tour continues with a visit to Inverarary Castle*, (April - October only) historic seat of the Duke of Argyll. Inveraray, set on the shores of Loch Fyne, was a model new town of its day and was built by the third Duke of Argyll in the mid 18th Century. Here you can explore the town's white-washed Georgian houses and wide streets with their pretty views across the water. You commence your return journey via the 'Rest and Be Thankful' pass, making a brief stop in the conservation village of Luss, Loch Lomond, before heading back to Edinburgh.

*This tour visits Inveraray Castle from April -October and alternates to Dunstaffnage Castle from October-March.
